We strive to create a committed volunteer force that can contribute meaningfully to the growth and well-being of our kids and families.

VOLUNTEER roles

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Co-facilitate class with the main teacher 

  • Taking care of high-needs students

  • Actively maintaining order in class to ensure a conducive learning environment for every student

  • Assist in getting students to cooperate with the primary teacher 

  • Preparing classroom materials

  • Packing and cleaning of the centre 

PLAYMAKER

Our playmakers assist our primary teachers in ensuring the classroom is a safe and conducive learning environment for all kids. 

As role models, our playmakers are a beacon of inspiration and positivity to the kids.

RESPONSIBILITES

 

  • Participate in family visits 
     

  • Provide short reports on families, highlighting the needs to staff
     

  • Pitch and promote our programmes 

BEFRIENDER

Every weekend, our outreach team does regular family visits to the community. Each befriender will be attached to our outreach personnel.

 

The goal is to touch base with the families, introduce our programme and register new beneficiaries. 

TRAINING

In-House Monthly Training Schedule

Training sessions are in place to help our playmakers to familiarise with our regular programmes and offerings.

 

Beach Road - Last Sunday Morning of the Month

Marsiling - Last Saturday Morning of the Month

Boon Lay - 3rd Saturday Morning of the Month
 

External Ad-hoc Training

Training opportunities will be shared with our volunteers. This could include training from NLB and other social service agencies.

To be considered for progression to Lead Playmaker:

   • Able to commit once a week

   • Possess a positive learning attitude

   • Have been performing competently as a Senior for at least 6 months

   • Commit 1 full day per month

Lead Playmaker
Paid Part-time

To be considered for progression to Master Playmaker:

   • Have been performing competently as a Lead for at least 6 months

   • Possess a positive learning attitude

   • Able to commit to every Saturday or every Sunday

Master Playmaker
Paid Part-time

Master Playmakers should:

    • Be able to commit to every Saturday or every Sunday
